Target differ from original manual
The original Star Gate Project manual was constructed to preserve Ingo Swann methods. It describes 6 stages of target acquisition. And the trainees are trained to acquire military targets such as air fields, radar, biomedical research facility, etc. Nonetheless, @64gmetaverse targets are peaceful in nature.
The Theory
The original method assumes that there is a matrix out there, and the remote viewer pulls a signal line from the source: the Matrix. The signal line is evoked or elicited by iteration and repeated prompting. The remote viewer would then open an aperture on the signal . The data through the signal is then analysed using a proper structure to extract the information. During the process, the remote viewer may be getting components. The objective is to extract a Gestalt, the unified whole, that cannot be derived from the summation of the component parts. This theory is similar to the scientific radio propagation theory.
64gmetaverse would not dispute this theory, afterall, there are different ways of describing this esoteric and mystic mental phenomenon, much like the blind men feeling different parts of the elephants.
Freudian model
The SRI remote viewing method relies on Freudian model of human consciousness, the original manual has a page discussing the functioning the right brain and left brain.
Nonetheless, there are out there other models, such as the Tibetan Buddhism discourse on the human consciousness, the Taoist meditative methods, and the esoteric Archasic records. Such models can also explain the possibility of remote viewing, and may offer alternatives methods.
